Overview

The HubSpot to sevdesk integration enables the seamless synchronization of contacts and company data from HubSpot CRM into SevDesk. This integration is beneficial for maintaining consistent customer records across both platforms, which streamlines accounting and customer relationship management.



Prerequisites

  • HubSpot Account: Ensure you have access to a HubSpot account with at least "CRM" permissions.
  • sevdesk Account: Access to a sevdesk account with permissions to create and update contacts.
  • API Access: API keys or OAuth credentials for both HubSpot and sevdesk are required to enable the integration.
  • Integration Setup Tool: (Optional) If using a third-party integration tool, ensure it is compatible with both HubSpot and sevdesk.



Integration Capabilities

The HubSpot-sevdesk integration supports the following:

  • Contact Synchronization: Transfer and update contact information from HubSpot to sevdesk.
  • Company Synchronization: Transfer and update company information from HubSpot to sevdesk.

Note: This integration is unidirectional, meaning updates from sevdesk will not sync back to HubSpot at this time.

Synchronization Behavior

  • Contact Creation: New contacts created in HubSpot are automatically synced to sevdesk.
  • Contact Update: Any updates made to contact information in HubSpot will reflect in sevdesk (Refer to supported fields).
  • Company Creation: New companies created in HubSpot will sync to sevdesk.
  • Company Update: Company information updates in HubSpot will be reflected in sevdesk (Refer to supported fields). 

Note: Deletions are currently not supported. If a contact or company is deleted in HubSpot, it will remain in sevdesk.



Testing the Integration

  1. Create a test contact and company in HubSpot..
  2. Verify the test contact and company appear in sevdesk with accurate data.
  3. Update the contact and company details in HubSpot and confirm the updates are reflected in sevdesk.



Troubleshooting

  • Data Not Syncing: Verify API credentials, and ensure both HubSpot and sevdesk accounts have the appropriate permissions. If necessary repeat the process of adding API keys to our system.
  • Mapping Issues: Confirm that all fields are correctly mapped between HubSpot and sevdesk.



Additional Notes

  • Limitations: This integration only supports HubSpot to sevdesk synchronization. Data will not sync from sevdesk back to HubSpot.
  • API Rate Limits: Be aware of HubSpot and sevdesk’s API rate limits; frequent syncs may require consideration of these limits.
